Gigabyte announces A88X series FM2+ motherboards

Support for Kaveri and AMD FM2+ socket

Gigabyte is gearing up for AMD's upcoming Kaveri APU launch by announcing its own line of socket FM2+ motherboards that will feature both support for the upcoming Kaveri APUs as well as a support for existing FM2 Trinity and Richland APUs.

In addition to a bunch of features that you would expect on a decent motherboard, Gigabyte also decided to launch the first AMD G1-Killer series gaming motherboard, the G1.Sniper A88X. The new motherboard features Gigabyte AMP-Up Audio that brings advanced audio technologies as well as UEFI DualBIOS, Digital Power delivery and Triple Display support.

In addition to the G1.Sniper A88X, the full A88X series motherboard lineup also includes the F2A88X-UP4, F2A88X-D3H, F2A88X-HD3, F2A88XM-D3H, F2A85XM-DS2 and the F2A88XM-HD3.

The A88X series motherboards bring native support PCI-Express gen 3.0 as well as native support for 4K resolution displays on HDMI and DisplayPort when paired up with AMD's socket FM2+ APUs.

All we need now is AMD to finally get those Kaveri APUs to retail/e-tail.
