MSI announces new GTX 760 HAWK graphics card

With Twin Frozr IV ATD cooler

MSI has announced the release of a new addition to its extensive line of GTX 700 series graphics cards, the MSI Geforce GTX HAWK. Based on a custom design and featuring a custom Twin Frozr IV Advanced Thermal Design cooler paired up with a couple of overclocking friendly features aims, not only to improve overclocking performance but also bring extreme overclocking closer to home.

Based on a non-reference design with Military Class 4 components that should bring additional graphics card stability as well as Enhanced Power Design and overclocking friendly TWIN BIOS feature, the new GTX 760 HAWK will certainly bring a lot of improvements and additional overclocking potential when compared to the reference design GTX 760 graphics card. The MSI GTX 760 HAWK works at 1111MHz base and 1176MHZ GPU Boost clocks and comes with 2GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 6008MHz and paired up with a 256-bit memory interface.

The GTX 760 HAWK is cooled by the next-generation Twin Frozr IV Advanced Thermal Design cooler that, in addition to 8mm SuperPipe heatpipes, dual 10cm temperature-controlled fans with Propeller Blade technology also features proprietary Airflow Control Technology and Dust Removal Technology which significantly improve cooling capacity and also runs a fan in reverse for 30 seconds every time the system is started. According to MSI and thanks to the new Twin Frozr IV ATD cooler, the new GTX 760 HAWK is around 10 °C cooler and 12.48dB quieter than the reference design.

Unfortunately, MSI did not shed any light regarding the actual availability date or the precise price of the new GTX 760 HAWK graphics card.
