Steelseries has announced the availability of its new SteelSeries Apex gaming keyboard that is carefully designed with beautiful form and optimized functions and brings unique enhancements to the keyboards layout as well as a unique Active-Zone illumination feature.


The feature list for the Steelseries Apex starts with a rather unique illumination option that not only offers choice from 16.8 million color options but also comes with SteelSeries Active-Zone illumination that allows the user to independently customizes colors with up to eight levels of illumination intensity in each of five zones and four different layers per zone.

The rest of the features include raised macro-keys along the top and left side for easy access, two tactile bumps on the W-key for easier WASD location, anti-ghosting capability that supports simultaneous key presses in 20 of the most used gaming keys, enlarged space bar and additional directional keys, SteelSeries key for brightness and Win-key disable as well as two swappable feet for angle adjustment.

The Apex is powered by Steelseries' Engine that allows the complete remapping of the twenty-two macro key and thanks to four separate layers, users have more than 500 keys for instant control, multiple layouts, profiles and commands.
