Lenovo, HP and co have to act

According to a report by Gartner, global PC shipments of notebook and desktop systems might fall by 7.6 percent in 2013, despite the fact that global shipements of all devices have got up to a total of 2.4 billion units in this year, a percent increase from last year.

Apparently, the market is expected to rise even further with estimates of up to 2.9 billion units in 2017, for global shipments of all devices. Unfortunately, the trend is changing and while worldwide shipments of devices rise, the PC shipments will decline by 7.6 percent due to the market shift from PCs to tablets.

It certainly looks like the 2013 will not be a good year for desktops and notebooks and we honestly hope that some of those big notebook and desktop companies like HP, Lenovo and others will somehow manage to turn it around.
