Although Disney has promised that nothing would change back when it bought LucasArts in October last year, Disney has now announced that LucasArts studio has been closed, making the Star Wars: First Assault and Star Wars 1313 titles just a vague dream.


According to Kotaku and its source, LucasArts was considering to go with one or both games but since the teams have been deispersed, Kotaku source believes that both games are effectivel dead forever. There is a possibility that Disney will move to licencing model and that some other publisher might buy it, but Kotaku source claims that the chances of Lucas licensing out 1313 are very slim.


It is certainly a sad day for the game industry as many have hoped that Disney acquieremnt of LucasArt would be a good thing.
