Thermaltake announces Toughpower DPS G RGB PSU line

80 Plus Titanium rating

Thermaltake has now officially announced its newest Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium Series power supply units which will be available in 850W, 1000W and 1500W versions, have 80 Plus Titanium efficiency rating and pack plenty of other unique features, like the new RGB fan.


Showcased at CES 2016 show earlier, the Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium Series is based on a fully-modular and single +12V rail design, and uses both 100% Japanese capacitors as well as come with a digital control board and a 32bit Microcontroller Unit (MCU) from STMicroelectronics.

The DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud 1.0 allows the new Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium Series to give four different types of data reports, including ECO Report, Energy Consumption Report, Energy Saving Plan and Efficiency/Wattage User Behavior Report, which will allow users to get clear details on efficiency, power consumption and allow the optimization of the usage.

The new Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium PSU Series will also inlude DPS G Mobile App 1.0 which will provide warning alerts if the fan fails or temperature goes over 60C as well as give users a PC Off Remote Control function, while the DPS G PC App 2.0 will allow users to enable the Zero Fan mode depending on the mode.

As noted, the Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium PSU Series comes with a patented circular 256 multicolored 140mm fan that can be customized via DPS G PC App and uses the new Compression Fan Blade design.

The new Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium Series PSUs are the cream of the crop when it comes to power supply units and although Thermaltake did not reveal any details regarding the price, we suspect that these won't come cheap but at least they are backed by a 10-year warranty.
