According to the latest rumor, Sony might be announcing its new Playstation 4 Neo on September 7th at an event in New York.


This latest rumor is in line with the earlier leak from Gamestop CEO which suggested that both the Playstation 4 Neo and the Xbox One S might share the same release date.

While it was originally believed that Sony will officially announce the Playstation 4 Neo at the Tokyo Game Show, scheduled also for September, it is now possible that the event was either switched to New York or there will be actually two events, one in Japan and other in the US.

Earlier last week, The Wall Street Journal suggested that Sony might also unveil the slim version of the PS4 alongside the new PS4 Neo at "a game show in September."

In any case, we shouldn't wait to long as there should be plenty of new rumors as we draw closer to the end of this month.
