Gigabyte releasing R9 270X OC with 4GB of memory

Bundles it with Battlefield 4

In addition to earlier revealed R7 260X with 1GB of memory, Gigabyte has also launched a new Radeon R9 270X graphics card, which will feature double the standard amount of memory, the Gigabyte R9 270X OC, or model GV-R927XOC-4GD. In addition to 4GB of memory, the new Gigabyte R9 270X OC 4GB will be available in two versions, with and without Battlefield 4 Origin key.

As the name suggests, Gigabyte has paired the new R9 270X OC with a decent factory-overclock taking it to 1050MHz base clock as well as 1100MHz Boost GPU clock. The 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface ended up at 5.6GHz. The new R9 270X OC uses custom and longer PCB paired up with Gigabyte's own WindForce 3X cooler, which is probably the main reason for a quite decent factory overclock.

In case you missed it earlier, the R9 270X is based on AMD's 28nm Curacao GPU with 1280 Stream Processors, 80 TMUs and 32 ROPs and, in case of Gigabyte, it needs two 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors.

Unfortunately, there is still no word on the price or the actual availability date.
