Sapphire releases R9 270X Dual-X 4GB

More memory is always better!

Apparently Sapphire must have been working on another graphics card in the past few weeks and months. Today the company is presenting a 4GB version of the R9 270X, which would for example be perfect to be teamed up with another card.

Midrange graphics cards with twice the memory the reference design features are always a good idea in our opinion. If you were to buy one of these cards, which is priced in the sweet spot today and in like a year or two you want to upgrade you system with another card, it makes perfect sense to choose a card with more memory, than what you get from the reference design. The reason for that is, that textures get more complex over time, which means, more graphics memory is needed.

The new Sapphire Radeon R9 270X DualX 4GB graphics card will cost roughly 230 to 250 US-Dollar, which makes with 30 to 50 bucks more expensive than a reference card. For this kind of money you get 4 Gigabyte of memory, a custom PCB as well as the powerful Dual-X custom cooler.
