De retour en 2012 Intel lançait le premier NUC (Next Unit of Computing), qui était basé sur une plateforme Ivy Bridge. En attendant, il semble que la deuxième génération des NUC est proche de s'annoncer, avec une photo d'un système qui se faufile sur le web actuellement.

Bien que la décision de Microsoft de racheter Nokia ne soit pas une grande surprise, cela a jeté un léger froid quant à l'avenir des Windows Phone mais selon une lettre publique de Stephen Elop, CEO de Nokia et Steve Ballmer, CEO de Microsoft, le Windows Phone ne pourra être que meilleur.

Il est vrai que la lettre suggère que Microsoft et Nokia vont travailler ensemble, comme ils l'ont déjà fait durant ces deux dernières années pour « fournir plus de choix, d’innovation et même plus de services et d’appareils aux utilisateurs », c’est aussi clair que Microsoft sera maintenant une grande part des services Nokia et aura certainement bien son mot à dire sur les futurs appareils.

Dans le cas où vous auriez rater l'information plus tôt, Microsoft et Nokia ont annoncé que Microsoft allait racheter le business de Nokia pour environ 4.99 milliards $ US et les brevet pour environ 2.18 milliards $ US.
