MSI has decided to announce a new motherboard based on Intel's entry-level H81 Express chipset and ATX form factor, the MSI H81-P33. While most H81 Express chipset based motherboard are usually based on smaller form factors, MSI decided to use a full-sized 220x305mm ATX form factor and pair it up with some features usually not found on entry-level motherboards.
The new motherboards supports LGA1150 CPUs and features a 6-phased VRM that gets its power via 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors. It also features two DDR3 DIMM slots with support for up to 32GB of DDR3-1600 memory in dual-channel, has single PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot, two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots and three legacy PCI slots. It also comes with two SATA 6Gbps and two SATA 3Gbps ports, six USB 3.0 ports (two via header), a couple of USB 2.0 ports, dual-link DVI and D-Sub outputs, 5.1-channel HD audio, and gigabit Ethernet.
The new MSI H81-P33 ATX motherboard also runs on AMI UEFI BIOS and should hit retail under US $100. Unfortunately, MSI did not announce any details regarding the precise availability date.
