Asus Temash APU VivoBook X102BA detailed

10.1-incher with AMD A4 Temash APU

Sweclockers managed to get some details regarding Asus' upcoming AMD Temash APU based 10.1-inch ultra-portable notebook, the Asus VivoBook X102BA. Featuring a 10.1-inch 1366x768 screen, the new Asus VivoBook X102BA should be Asus' attempt to bring Windows 8 to the masses, by providing a cheap, ultra-portable notebook.

According to first details, the new Asus VivoBook X102BA will feature AMD's dual-core A4-1200 APU with Radeon HD 8180 graphics part, 2GB of RAM and 320GB of HDD storage. It also comes with Windows 8 OS as well as Ofice Home and Student 2013 package. The rest of the features include a couple of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, card reader, 802.11bgn WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Asus did similar things before with 12.1-inch 1215B notebook equipped with AMD E-450 Brazos APU, which was sold out in a matter of day, so it is not a big surprise that it wants to do a similar thing with AMD's Temash APU.

According to Sweclockers.com, the new Asus X120BA should hit European retail/e-tail shelves sometimes next month with a price of around €380. Of course, since Sweden usually has much higher prices than the rest of the Europe you can expect it to be cheaper in the DACH and other regions.
