According to Square Enix, a Tomb Raider sequel is "well into development" and will be a part of company's commitment to triple-A title push.
Previously hinted during Comic-Con by comics series writer Gail Simone, by saying that the comic will bridge the gap between two sequels, the sequel has now been also confirmed by Square Enix’s CEO of Europe and North America, Phil Rogers that posted an open letter on the company's blog.
Phil Rogers also promised that there will soon be more details regarding the new Tomb Raider sequel, support for more platforms, as well as some other AAA titles and mobile and tablet games.
"I’ve spent the past few months building a senior team in the Americas and Europe to support our new and evolving strategy. We plan to share a fuller title release plan with you soon on games ranging from next-gen blockbusters (the above mentioned Tomb Raider sequel) to new cutting-edge tablet and mobile games (such as the recently released Deus Ex: The Fall), to live and online PC games (our now in beta Heroes & Generals)."
