According to the China Times, citing supply chain sources, it appears that Macbook Pro refresh is scheduled for October. As expected, these will be based on Intel Haswell CPUs that will provide much better battery life, as seen in Apple's Macbook Air refresh.
As you probably already know, the Haswell-refresh did not bring much in terms of performance but apparently, the battery performance as well as the actual GPU improvements that will bring 4K support, was simply something that Apple could not pass with its Macbook Pro lineup. The expected refresh is also be slightly slimmer that will improve portability on the 13-inch model as well as bring an updated camera with full HD.
According to previous reports, Apple is expected to use a special high-end version of Haswell-based mobile CPU for its new Macbook Pro models.
Although many specs should be upgraded, the new Apple Macbook Pro refresh is expected to stay in the same price range as the currently available models.
