After TSMC Apple might return to Samsung for chips

Samsung 14nm process is appealing

According to a report from Korea Economic Daily spotted by Cnet.com, it appears that Apple might be returning to Samsung for chip production after it is done with TSMC.

In case you missed earlier reports, Samsung and Apple have been at each other throats in legal matters which pretty much was the main reason for Apple to move to TSMC for its next chip order and cut down its reliance on Samsung. Basically, TSMC will be behind Apple's 20nm A8 chipset coming next year and most likely other chips, or to be precise variations of the current chipsets, that will find its way into this year's devices.

Judging from the report, it appears that Apple is once again ready to put aside any differences and get back to Samsung for the Apple A9 chipset scheduled for 2015, as simply Samsung's announced 14nm advanced process is ahead of everything TSMC will be able to offer in 2015.
