While Intel 4th generation Core Haswell quad-cores have been already benchmarked and have been filling the headlines, PCGamesHardware site managed to get their hands on a dual-core Core i5-4570T 35W benchmarks that happen to be quite impressive.
Although desktop quad-core parts have been out for quite some time, the lone dual-core Core i5-4570T part that has the lowest 35W TDP certainly caught a lot of attention and despite that same low TDP it still packs enough performance punch to come on top of some higher priced AMD CPUs and even come close to Intel's own Core i5-2500K.
In case you missed it earlier, the Core i5-4570T is a dual-core part clocked at 2.9GHz base with Turbo up to 3.6GHz. It has 4MB of L3 cache and features Intel HD Graphics 4600 iGPU clocked at up to 1.15GHz. It has a 35W TDP and a list price of US $192.
Judging by the results the Core i5-4570T will certainly be popular among HTPC makers and builders while quad-core Core i5-4670T with 45W TDP should not be a bad solution either.
