Sony had a a lot of trouble from its 4.45 firmware update that resulted in massive problems and unusable consoles but has finally got around to release a firmware fix that can be applied manually in case you already had installed the previous one.

According to Sony, they have identified the issue related to the Playstation 3 software update 4.45 and has now release the new 4.46 version update that brings all the fixes that 4.45 should have but does it in the right way. Most importantly, the new update can be applied manually by updating the console from safe mode and USB flash drive.
