During GDC 2013 there was the first official mentioning of Battlefield 4 and since then not too many details have emerged on the new title. Now, in the context of E3, Electronic Arts shows a gameplay trailer that reveals the very heart of Battlefiled 4: the multiplayer mode.
In the trailer you can for example see what kind of graphics power the new consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, can offer. Battlefield should not only be compatible with the next gen consoles, it should also run on Xbox 360 as well as PlayStation 3 although with substantially reduced graphics details.
A closer look at the trailer also shows that the news multiplayer mode offers the possibility to join games with up to 64 gamers in it. Furthermore you can see the map Shanghai, which is beautifully done and it's especially impressive when you see that for example entire buildings can be destroyed using artillery.
