EVGA seems to be really serious about their GTX 780 line-up. For the launch the manufacturer prepared no less than seven different GTX 780 cards.
Next to models with reference cooler as well as reference PCB, EVGA shows cards, that feature their latest ACX cooler. A few days ahead of the launch EVGA uploaded a teaser video to YouTube showing their latest achievement in cooling technology.
The manufacturer claims that their ACX cooler offers 40 percent more cooling area than the reference cooler. Furthermore temperatures should tumble by 15 percent. The basic design of this cooler is dual-fan/dual-slot whereas EVGA says that they spent a substantial amount of time improving the fan blades. Overall they claim to have improved the rotors stiffness by up to 700 percent when compared to competitors designs. Additionally they say their fans are 25 percent lighter and up to 20 percent more efficient.
