According to a report at Fudzilla.com, it appears that upcoming 1-chip Haswell also referred to as the Haswell-ULT will bring up to 8 to 10 hours of battery life to tablets based on it.
The 1-chip Haswell and the Y-series lineup that it will be a part of, is still much bigger than what ARM has to offer but also brings more performance. Intel managed to squeeze quite an impressive performance and still retain the scenario design power at 7.5W which is quite close to what ARM offers with its 5+W TDP.
Intel notes that these chips are not necessarily exclusive for tablets and Ultrabooks as we might see them in a couple of hybrid designs like detachable, foldable which should bring even more performance and usability but also definitely destroy the already dying netbook market segment.
Unfortunately, the Y-series Haswell based CPUs are still scheduled for Q4 2013 so we'll have to wait a while for it.
