The Intel Core i7-8086K isn't just a simple trophy for collectors but it's also the first processor that the company ships with a turbo frequency of 5GHz out of the box. This frequency is guaranteed on a single core and if you want hit 5GHz on all your six cores you have to overclock your CPU a bit.
Since each CPU comes with an individual overclocking room, it's safe to say that not all Core i7-8086K processors can run stably 5GHz on all cores. Furthermore, not everyone is able to or has enough time to overclock the CPU in order to find the right settings. For this reason Silicon Lottery is selling pre-overclocked processors and yesterday they announced the availability of the Core i7-8086K.
At the moment there are four models available, from $469.99 USD up to $859.99 USD. The main difference between this two models regards the clock frequency and the voltage. While the first can run stable at 5GHz with 1.4V, the second one can hit 5.3GHz with 1.435V. All the processors are delidded and Silicon Lottery has replaced the standard compound with Thermal Grizzly high-performance Conductonaut liquid metal. Each CPU is covered with one-year warranty that includes a one-time replacement.
