At the Computex 2018, EVGA has unveiled an updated version of the original X299 Micro launched last year. The upcoming model will come with an improved CPU VRM design which should work better with Intel Core i9 HCC processors.
With the X299 Micro 2, EVGA is back on the mainstream market with a micro-ATX motherboard based on Intel X299 chipset. The motherboard sport a black PCB with black heat sinks. Furthermore they come with an armada of features like WiFi and BT modules and on-board buttons. The X299 Micro 2 isn't the flagship model however sports a lot of interesting features. On this board there are two PCIe Gen 3.0 slots with steel reinforcements and one PCI x4 slot.
On the storage side we see one M.2 slot and six SATA ports. Furthermore we also see all the bells and whistles you'd ask for in the event of overclocking. At a first glance this is certainly a good looking motherboard.
