Efficiency is one of the most important performance metrics in the PSU market, since it impacts more than just power draw. When a power supply isn't efficient, it usually runs hotter and the fan has to spin faster in order to cool down the unit. For this reason, Corsair has updated two series of power supplies.
With the new Vengeance series of power supply, the company offers two models with 650W and 750W of output power respectively. Apart from that, they sport a semi-modular cable management. The Vengeance series is supposed to come at a reasonable price and with 5-year warranty plan. The lineup will be cooled by a new 120mm bottom placed fan, which should be pretty silent. The Vengeance series offers 80 Plus Silver efficiency and it should be the next step up for system builders used to install 80 Plus Bronze.
Furthermore Corsair has updated the SFX SF series of power supplies. This units are perfect for mini-ITX PCs due to the small form factor. Corsair is now offering this series with 80 Plus Platinum efficiency. The SF Series is available with 450W and 600W of output power with 7-year warranty plan. The lineup is cooled by a 92mm fan which feature zero-rpm technology. As usual, both series, feature all the protections that you need.
Both of these new power supplies will become available in July through Corsair's worldwide retail network.
