Intel's Coffee Lake six-core mobile CPUs deliver a lot of performance with only 45W TDP. ASUS has placed three heat pipes and a pair of fans in its ZenBook Pro 15 notebook, in order to cool down the powerful six-core CPU with 4.5GHz of frequency. This massive CPU has been installed inside an ultra-thin aluminum unibody chassis that's less than 2cm thick.
Inside the upcoming ZenBook Pro 15 you can get three Intel eighth-generation mobile processors: the 4C/8T Core i5-8300H, the 6C/12T Core i7-8750H, or the 6C/12T Core i9-8950HK. The CPU can be paired with up to 16GB of DDR4-2400 memory. All ZenBook Pro 15 models get a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. Apart from that there are several options to choose from in the storage department, which range from one 512GB NVMe SSD drive up to 1TB drive, offering ridiculous throughputs.
The 15.6" display comes with a resolution of 1920x1080 and claimed 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. Furthermore is available the touch version as well as a 3840x2160 resolution with 100% cover of the Adobe RGB color space. The ZenBook Pro 15 sports several I/O ports despite its small size. On this ultra-thin notebook we find a pair of Thunderbolt 3-enabled USB Type-C ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A connectors, an HDMI jack, a microSD card reader, and an audio combo jack. Furthermore ASUS includes a USB-to-Ethernet dongle in the bundle.
So far ASUS has not revealed details on pricing and availability on their ZenBook Pro 15 notebooks.
