It looks like ASUS is going to release a new high-end gaming notebook. With the ROG G703 gaming notebook, the company unveils a new model which comes with a 17-inch, UHD screen with 144Hz display. Apart from that the ROG G703 sports an Intel Core i7-7820HK CPU and an Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU.
Featuring an UHD display with a 144Hz panel, which on top of that even supports NVIDIA G-SYNC makes for a compelling combination and allows for smooth gaming. Inside the ASUS ROG G703 we find a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU with 8GB of GDDR5X memory. There is also an Intel Core i7-7820HK unlocked CPU, up to 64GB of 2800MHz memory, two NVMe PCIe SSDs and a 1TB SATA HDD. According to ASUS, you can install up to two NVMe PCIe SSDs in raid0 and one SATA3 SSD or a more classic 2.5" HDD.
The Asus ROG G703 features Aura RGB lighting which become quite useful with the built-in keyboard with individual key lighting. Regarding the connectivity options, ASUS has equipped the ROG G703 with a Gigabit Ethernet connector, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, DS/MMC cards, HD Webcam and 2x audio combo jacks. Furthermore there are four USB 3.0 ports and one USB 3.1 Type-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support. Last but not least there is a miniDisplayPort 1.4 paired with one HDMI 2.0 port.
The ASUS ROG G703 with 32GB DDR4, 512GB PCIe SSD + 1TB SSHD is available now on Amazon for $3'500 US, which definitely puts this notebook in the high-price bracket.
