Colorful has quite a few motherboards in its portfolio when it comes to motherboards but that didn’t stop them from teasing yet another model. The new board is going to belong to the iGame series. Since there are already details about the upcoming Intel Z300 series chipset floating around in the web, we believe that Colorful is a bit late to the party with this model.
The iGame Z270 Ymir-U is based on an ATX form factor, yet this time Colorful is using all the area available on the PCB. Nevertheless the iGame Z270 Ymir-U also comes with RGB backlight underneath the PCH cooler. In general the layout is quite similar to the previous model and therefore it has also been equipped with three full-sized PCIe slots and two PCI x1 slots.
There are six SATA6 ports that have been angled. Apart from that you get two M.2 slots allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. The first M.2 slot is placed in the middle of the motherboard and it’s compatible with 22110 units, while the second one is close to the socket and it supports 2280 SSDs. The first one also features a M.2 heat sink which should improve temperatures.
In addition this model comes with several features like GamerVoice2.0 Audio technology and Fintek USB headers. GamerVoice2.0 Audio is an audio chip implementation which has been isolated from the rest of the motherboard. According to the specifications, the chip can drive headphones with 600Ohm resistance.
