InWin showcasing two cases with wooden parts

Wood, aluminium and tempered glass

InWin has decided to come up with a few unique looking cases for this years Computex, which combine wood, tempered glass and aluminium. The first model goes by the name InWin 806 and it’s compatible with ATX motherboards, while the second model is called Gaming Cube A1 and it's compatible with mini-ITX motherboards.

The InWin 806 is an ATX mid-tower case that measures 215 x 490 x 468 mm. While the upper and the front panels are made out plywood, the side panels features tempered glass windows and the remaining elements are made of an aluminum alloy. The top, the bottom and the front can house up to two 120mm fans. Since this case is compatible with ATX motherboards there are seven PCI covers at the back of the chassis. The I/O panel is placed at the top and in addition to the more common USB 3.0 ports there is also a USB Type-C connector.

The Gaming Cube A1 measures 200 x 268 x 340 mm and there is space for mini-ITX motherboards with dual slot graphics cards measuring up to 315 mm in length. Inside the case there is enough space for a SFX power supply and a mid-range CPU tower cooler. Regarding the airflow, a 120mm fan can be mounted at the back and two more 120mm fans can be place at the bottom. Like the 806, this mini-ITX model features plywood elements.

We’re curious to get to know more about these cases in future and it would certainly be great to review them to feel and see ourselves what those cases are like. It’s great to see In Win come up with another outside-of-the-box idea, showing to the market that it could pursue other avenues as well.
