Acer unveils ultra-wide XR382CQK 38-inch display

A new ultrawide curved monitor

Acer has expanded its curved monitor lineup with a new monitor which features a 38-inch panel 3440 x 1440 resolution at a 21:9 aspect ratio. The ultra-wide IPS panel has a 2300R curvature. Furthermore the monitor comes with a VESA wall mount and USB 3.0 hub.

As we already mentioned the XR382CQK monitor has been equipped with a 38-inch panel and 3440 x 1440 Pixel resolution. There is one HDMI 2.0 port and one DisplayPort 1.2 connector. The display is based on an IPS panel with a contrast ratio of 1000:1, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 5ms response time (5ms GTG). Acer is marketing this display as a multimedia monitor and for that purpose they’ve integrated 7-watts stereo speakers with DTS sound.

Having a look at the pictures, this is definitely a good looking monitor, thanks to its slim bezel and sleek design. The new XR382CQK monitor is listed on Geizhals for 1299 euro. At that price it’s not exactly cheap, but nevertheless this is a very nice piece of hardware.
