Today we have a chance to check out some of the first benchmarks of Intel's upcoming unlocked Kaby Lake Core i3-7350K dual-core CPU which is also the first ever Core i3 chip with overclocking capabilities.

In case you missed it earlier, the Core i3-7350K will be a dual-core part with Intel Hyper-Threading, pack 4M of L3 cache and a 91W TDP. It works at 4.0GHz base and 4.2GHz maximum Turbo clocks and actually outperforms quad-core chips from the last generation.

While we only a single Geekbench 4.0.3 benchmark results, which shows 5137 single-core score and 10048 multi-core score, this is enough to compare it previous generation quad-core chips, the Core i5-6400 and the Core i5-4670K.

Surprisingly, the Core i3-7350K manage to give an impressive result, both in single-core and, most importantly, in multi-core test. The Core i3-7350K is also expected to bring impressive overclocking potential, which should make it even more interesting.

With an expected price of US $177, the Core i3-7350K will certainly be one of the best selling chips in Intel's upcoming 14nm Kaby Lake desktop lineup.
