Intel unveils new Atom E3900 series CPUs

Intel has launched its new Apollo Lake Atom E3900 series CPU aimed at IoT market and use in segments such as industrial, automotive, video, manufacturing, retail, and more.

Since the iOT market is expected to become quite important and very lucrative by 2020, it does not come as a surprise that Intel wants a piece of that cake and its new Apollo Lake Atom E3900 series CPUs are a good way forward.

According to Intel, the new Atom E3900 series will bring Excellent CPU performance, fast GFX and media, image processing and Intel Time Coordinated Computing Technology (Intel TCC Technology). It also bring new levels of security and image and video processing power in a compact form factor and plenty of other improvements.

Intel has already made a lot of samples for with its cooperation with a diverse ecosystem of leading IoT device and equipment manufacturers, software vendors and OEMs creating industrial, digital security and surveillance (DSS) as well as transportation and automotive products.




The lineup in the new Atom E3900 series will currently include three SKUs, the Atom x5-E3930, Atom x5-E3940 and the Atom x7-E3950. Offering both dual- and quad-core solutions with TDP set at 6.5W, 9.5W and 12W, Intel should cover a wide area in the IoT market.

According to Intel, these new Atom E3900 series SKUs should be already available for partners and OEMs.
