It appears that some Nvidia AIB partners are issuing BIOS updates for Geforce GTX 1070 that should be fixing issues seen on some graphics cards, including flickering and/or poor memory overclocking.

According to known details, these issues are limited to Geforce GTX 1070 graphics cards that come with Micron memory chips and is mostly manifested as occasional flickering and graphical artifacts. Some AIB partners have switched from Samsung memory chips to Micron ones which might be the ones that have been causing these issues and BIOS update could simply raise the memory voltage, which should fix the issue.

Currently, EVGA, Gainward and Palit have issued BIOS updates for its own Geforce GTX 1070 graphics cards and some of other Nvidia AIB partners are also working on it and checking if their graphics cards are affected.

It is simply matter of checking with GPU-Z which memory type is used on your own Geforce GTX 1070 and downloading the BIOS update if it is available.

Thankfully, this is not a big issue and AIB partners should be able to fix it easily.
