Nvidia officially launched GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti

In line with previous rumors

Nvidia has surprisingly launched the new Geforce GTX 1050 and Geforce GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards, which will be based on the smallest Pascal-architecture GP107 GPU and aimed mostly at MOBA gaming at HD and Full HD resolutions.

Priced at US $139, as rumored earlier, the Geforce GTX 1050 Ti features a fully-enabled GP107 GPU with 6 Streaming Multi-processors, which adds up to 768 CUDA cores, 48 TMUs and 32 ROPs, as well as comes with 4GB of GDDR5 memory with a 128-bit memory interface.

The GPU works at 1290MHz base and maximum Boost clock of 1392MHz while memory ends up clocked at 7.0GHz, leaving it with 112GB/s of memory bandwidth.

The Geforce GTX 1050 comes with a slightly cut-down version of the GP107 GPU with 5 Streaming Multiprocessors, which means it will end up with 640 CUDA cores, 40 TMUs and the same 32 ROPs as well as 2GB of GDDR5 memory on the same 128-bit memory interface.

With lower CUDA core count, the GTX 1050 is clocked a bit higher, with base GPU clock of 1354MHz with maximum GPU Boost of 1455MHz. The memory works at the same 7.0GHz, which means it has the same memory bandwidth.

Performance-wise, Nvidia compares the new GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti with earlier available GTX 750 Ti, showing that these almost double the performance while being much more power efficient.

It appears that most partners will come up with custom versions since day one so there should be some rather interesting options.

While the earlier rumors suggested that it could be announced on October 25th, it appears that this is actually the availability date, according to Nvidia.
