XFX to use Seasonic design for its new PSUs

The new XFX XTI, XTS2 and XTR2 series PSUs

According to a fresh report, it appears that XFX plans to release a new line of XTI, XTS2 and XTR2 series PSUs that will actually use Seasonic's flagship design from the Prime Titanium, Platinum and Gold series PSUs.

According to the table from Orionpsudb.com site, XFX will actually use the entire Seasonic Prime lineup, Titanium, Platinum and Gold rated units.

XFX will actually rebrand it as the XFX XTI, which will be available in outputs ranging from 600W (fanless) to 1000W, which will be the Prime Titanium design, with 80 Plus Titanium rating, XFX XTS2 line, which will be the Prime Platinum design and XFX XTR2, which will be the Prime Gold design.

The Seasonic Prime lineup is as high-end as it gets when it comes to PSUs, including fully-modular design, super low ripple noise of under 20mV, extended hold-up time of above 30ms and premium hybrid fan control.

We already had a chance to check them out at Computex 2016 show and although the Prime Platinum and Gold are still not released, Prime Titanium has been reviewed and showed promising results, with its 96 percent efficiency at 50 percent load on 230V.

We are quite sure that XFX will be able to cash in on this new lineup as Seasonic PSU design has been a choice of overclockers and these are some of the best PSUs on the market.

Unfortunately, we still do not have a precise launch date or the price.
