Some EVGA custom GTX 1080 graphics cards pictured

More coming later today

Following the recent leak of what appeared to be an EVGA GTX 1080 SuperClocked graphics card running in a case, today we have a couple of press pictures showing both the SuperClocked and the FTW version.

Although we are quite sure that EVGA will announced at least a couple of custom GTX 1080 graphics cards, these two pictured models, SuperClocked and FTW, gives us a clear picture on what to expect from EVGA.

The EVGA GTX 1080 SuperClocked, pictured by HotHardware.com, shows a card that is probably based on a reference GTX 1080 PCB, which draws power from a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector. Although based on the reference PCB, the EVGA GTX 1080 SuperClocked comes with a new custom ACX 3.0 cooler, with a brushed aluminum shroud, white LED lit badge and two fans.

Unfortunately, we still do not have any details regarding the actual clocks of the EVGA GTX 1080 SC, but earlier GPU-Z screenshot suggested that it will work at 1709MHz for the GPU base clock and 1848MHz for the GPU Boost clock, which is about 100MHz higher than reference clocks.

The EVGA GTX 1080 FTW is a bit more interesting, as this one comes with a fully-custom PCB with stronger VRM which draws power from a pair of 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors, which suggest that we will both see a higher factory-overclock and most certainly a better overclocking potential, since most reference GTX 1080 were actually limited by their power supply rather than temperature.

The EVGA GTX 1080 FTW also comes with a slightly bigger version of the ACX 3.0 cooler with both larger heatsink and larger fans. Unfortunately, there are no details about the actual clocks of the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW

EVGA is expected to unveil its entire lineup later today and we are quite sure that we will see a couple of models, hopefully including the Classified and liquid-cooled HydroCopper model. Unfortunately, there are no detail on when these will actually be available.
