Microsoft UWP getting G-Sync/Freesync in May

V-Sync disable coming as well

While support for V-Sync disable is closely related to supporting G-Sync and Freesync, it is not a surprise that Microsoft plans to update and fix both these issues in the Universal Windows Platform (UWP).

As you may know, currently there is no way to disable V-Sync in games on the Windows Store, but it appears that the fix is coming in May.

Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft's Xbox division, also revealed a bit more information regarding the support for mods and overlays on the UWP, explaining that these will be similar to Steamworks, which means that games will get support for developer-verified mods while overlays, like FRAPS, should not be hard to implement.

Most importantly, Spencer added that the company is definitely listening to feedback from both developers and the community, which means that there is still hope for the Universal Windows Platform.
