The Division scores over $330 million in first 5 days

Breaks more Ubisoft records

It appears that Tom Clancy's The Division game is quite a success as it managed to make US $330 million in its first five days, taking the crown from Activision's Destiny and breaking a few more Ubisoft sales records.

The game already had a rather impressive first 24 hours, where it broke a couple of Ubisoft sales records and it appears that the same trend continued as Ubisoft now reports that the estimated worldwide revenue for The Division exceeded US $330 million in first five days.

This is enough for The Division to take the crown from Activision's Destiny game which managed to get US $325 million. Bear in mind that Destiny launched only on consoles, including Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, while The Dision is available on both the PC as well as current-gen consoles, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

"The Division taking the top spot in the industry for first week sales of a new franchise is a tremendous achievement," said Yves Guillemot, CEO and co-founder of Ubisoft, in a press release. "We are very proud of our teams, and humbled by and thankful for the millions of players who are giving us their feedback and support."

Ubisoft already said that The Division set multiple sale records and described it as one of the top four launches in gaming history, next to Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs and Activision's Destiny.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft did not reveal any specifics regarding number of copies but we will surely hear more when the official financial report becomes available.
