HTC Vive VR Headset is doing surprisingly well despite its high price tag as HTC claims it seen 15,000 pre-orders in the first 10 minutes when it went online.
While many agreed that HTC Vive currently offers the best virtual reality experience as it offers the "complete package," it came with a rather high price tag. Confirmed yesterday, the price was quite a blow, especially for European markets.
In case you missed it, the original US $799.99 price tag turned to €899 for most of Europe, and it included the HTC Vive VR Headset package will feature the headset, two wireless controllers, two base stations, a link box and a pair of Vive earbuds. Those that pre-ordered it also got Job Simulator and Fantastic Contraption games as well as the Google Tilt Brush app.
According to early report, those that have pre-ordered the HTC Vive VR headset should be getting it sometime in April.
In any case, it appears that HTC is doing quite well with its Vive VR Headset and if this keeps up there is definitely a bright future for virtual reality.
