According to latest rumors, Nvidia might be preparing to launch the Geforce GTX 950 SE which should put some pressure on the sub-$150 market, fitting just below the GTX 950 and replacing the GTX 750 Ti.
The new Geforce GTX 950 SE should be also based on Nvidia's Maxwell GM206 GPU and provide plenty of performance for 1080p gaming. Currently, the only two graphics cards from Nvidia in the sub-$150 market are the GTX 750 Ti and the GTX 750, both based on older, first-generation Maxwell GM107 GPU, so the GTX 950 SE, or whatever it ends up named, will be a welcomed addition to the lineup.
According to rumors coming from Expreview.com, the GTX 950 SE should offer a bit more performance at the same price as the GTX 750 Ti. The rumored specification include 640 CUDA cores and 2GB of GDDR5 memory. It should also end up in the same TDP range as the GTX 750 Ti, between 60W and 80W, which suggest that it might not need an additional PCI-Express power connector, depending on the final clocks.
It is still not clear if Nvidia will completely EOL the GTX 750 Ti or simply give it a price drop pushing it below the current US $120 price, the same one that GTX 950 SE should fill in. The new Geforce GTX 950 should launch in March.
