ASUS silently launches new MG28UQ 4K monitor

With support for AMD FreeSync

ASUS has rather silently launch its new 28-inch MG28UQ 4K/UHD monitor which has support for AMD's FreeSync.


Based on a 28-inch TN-panel with 3840x2160 resolution, the new ASUS MG28UQ 4K/UHD monitor also comes with 10-bit color support, maximum brightness of 330cd/m2, 1ms response time and couple of exclusive ASUS features like Ultra-Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, GamePlus, and GameVisual technologies.

The rest of the specifications and features include two HDMI 1.4, single HDMI v.20 and DisplayPort 1.2 port, which is needed for VESA Adaptive Sync, or simply, AMD FreeSync when the monitor is paired up with AMD's Radeon graphics cards. It also has two USB 3.0 ports.

The ASUS MG28UQ also has a special ergonomically-designed stand which allows swivel, height, pivot and tilt adjustments.

Despite the fact that it already has an official product page at ASUS' website, company did not unveil any details regarding the price or the availability date of the new ASUS MG28UQ 4K/UHD monitor, but a quick check at European price search engine shows it listed for around €550-€600 in Europe.
