AMD Wraith CPU cooler gets tested

Performs extremely well

We have already seen AMD new Wraith CPU box cooler which should be available with AMD's FX-8370 CPU and today we have the first review which shows that it performs extremely well and even outperforms some well known third party coolers.

While AMD made some rather impressive promises for its new Wraith reference cooler, we now have a few results which compares the Wraith to the original stock cooler for the FX-8370 CPU as well as some third party coolers.

According to the review published by Bit-tech.com, whic used the Wraith with the AMD FX-6300 CPU overclocked to 4.4GHz and AMD FX-8370 CPU overclocked to 4.5GHz on ASUS Sabertooh 990FX motherboard. Running at both 12V and with PWM, the Wraith is able to provide significantly lower delta T compared to the stock FX-8370 cooler under full load.

It also manages to provide lower temperature at both 12V and PWM than some other third party CPU coolers, which is quite an impressive feat considering that this is a CPU cooler that ships with the CPU.

It looks like that AMD's Wraith CPU cooler is quite good and we are wondering if the same thing goes for the two new reference APU cooler which use similar design as the Wraith CPU cooler.
