Japanese Fixstars shows 6, 10 and 13TB SSDs

In-house controller and 15nm MLC NAND

It appears that high-capacity SSDs are slowly becoming a reality as Japanese company Fixstarts has announced its 6TB, 10TB and 13TB SATA III SSDs that will be available in mid-late February.

Based on an in-house made controller, paired up with 15nm MLC NAND and SATA 6Gbps interface, Fixstars' new 6TB, 10TB and 13TB offer sequential read and write performance of up to 580MB/s and 520MB/s, respectively.

Such high capacity and decent performance make them perfect for storage, streaming and professional applications such as video processing.

Spotted by Overclock3d.net, the Fixstars new high-capacity SSDs should be available in the US and Japan in mid- to late-February. Unfortunately, there is no word on the price but with such specifications we expect it to be anything but affordable.
