AMD has unveiled its new and upcoming reference CPU cooler at CES 2016, which is significantly quieter than any reference CPU cooler so far, called the AMD Wraith.
While there are still no details on whether the Wraith will be a standalone product or bundled with certain high-end CPUs and APUs, since it can handle 95W and 125W TDP CPUs, AMD has decided to share a bit more details on how quiet it actually is.
According to the provided video, the AMD Wraith is still a standard top-flow cooler with aluminum heatsink cooled by a top mounted fan. It appears that both the fan and the heatsink are larger than what we saw with stock AMD coolers earlier. It also comes with a LED backlit AMD logo.
As the video shows, the new AMD Wraith stock CPU cooler is much quieter than current stock coolers and hopefully it will get bundled with AMD's future CPUs and APUs.
