MSI has partnered with Ubisoft to release a new version of its earlier released Z170A Krait motherboard, the Z170A Krait Gaming R6 Siege. Featuring a few updates and the same black and white design, the new motherboard will come bundled with a copy of Ubisoft's latest Rainbow Six Siege game.
In case you missed the earlier announced Z170A Krait Edition motherboard, this a high-end Intel Z170 Express chipset based motherboard with support for Intel's latest Skylake LGA1151 CPUs, four memory slots with support for 64GB of DDR4-3600 memory, three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (support x16/x0/x4 or x8/x8/x4 modes) and four PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots.
It also features a Turbo M.2 slot, six SATA 6Gbps ports, two of which are shared with SATA Express 10Gbps port, USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C + Type-A combo port, Intel I219-V Gigabit Ethernet, Realtek ALC1150 Codec for 7.1-channel audio with Audio Boost 3, Military Class 5 components and plenty of other high-end features.
The only difference that we have been able to spot between the earlier available Z170A Krait and the new Z170A Krait Gaming R6 Siege motherboards are four angled SATA 6Gbps ports on the new motherboard as well as the new USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C + Type-A combo port. Both motherboards also have MSI's new Steel Armor rugged PCI-Express ports with more solder points.
According to what we can see, the free copy of Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege is also available for the Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard although we are not sure if this applies to users that already own the aforementioned motherboard or just new users. The bundle is limited to select countries and ends on March 1st, 2016. You can check out more details via link below.
