Assassin's Creed Syndicate less demanding than Unity

Ubisoft did it right?

It appears that Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed Syndicate will not suffer the fate of the earlier Unity game as the announced minimum and recommended hardware requirements are more reasonable.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Unity had high system requirements and suffered from lousy optimization on the PC platform but it appears that Ubisoft has learned its lesson and its upcoming Assassin's Creed Syndicate game has lower system requirements and will not suffer the same fate as the Unity.

According to Ubisoft, minimum system requirements for Syndicate include Intel Core i5-2400S or AMD FX-6350, 6GB or more RAM and Nvidia GTX 660 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 270 2GB graphics card. The recommended hardware requirements include Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 CPU, 8GB of RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 970/GTX 760 4GB or AMD Radeon R9 280X 3GB graphics card.

The most surprising is the GTX 760 graphics card, as according to Ubisoft, the game requires at least 3GB of video memory in order to run at 1080p resolution and high level of detail. Ubisoft also noted that some features of the game will be limited to Nvidia hardware, like the TXAA.

Both minimum and recommended hardware requirements include 64-bit version of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 as well as 50GB of HDD space.

In case you missed it earlier, Assassin's Creed Syndicate is scheduled to launch on the PC on November 19th.
