G.Skill releases new RGB/MX mechanical keyboards

The KM780 RBG and KM780 MX now shipping

Unveiled at Computex 2015 show back in June, G.Skill has now announced that its new mechanical gaming keyboards, the KM780 RGB and the KM780 MX, are now shipping.

The new G.Skill mechanical gaming keyboards use Cherry RGB or Cherry MX key switches, both have a backlight, with RGB on the KM780 and crimson red on the KM780 MX. According to G.Skill, both keyboards are designed so that key switches are mounted through a 2mm aluminum plate, which should improve rigidity, while the key caps are dual-coated and laser etched so these should be quite durable.

G.Skill also provides a cap puller, which allows users to mount 10 special tactile gaming keys as well as a detachable soft-touch wrist rest. The keyboard also comes with volume and media control keys at the top right corner and it also comes with six macro keys, three hotkeys and easy-access mode selection keys.

Both the G.Skill KM780 RGB and the KM780 MX are now available with a price set at US $159.99 and US $119.99, respectively. While currently available only with Cherry Red and Brown key switches, G.Skill notes that Cherry Blue option will be available at a later date.
