Gigabyte unveils G1.Sniper B7 motherboard

Based on B150 Express chipset

Gigabyte has unveiled yet another motherboard that will be a part of its G1.Sniper lineup, the B150 Express chipset based G1.Sniper-B7.

Based on Intel's B150 Express chipset with socket LGA1151 aimed to be used with Intel's latest 6th generation Core Skylake CPUs, the Gigabyte G1.Sniper is a mid-range motherboard based on standard ATX form factor.

It features a 7-phase CPU VRM powered by standard 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors, features four DDR4 memory slots and a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, making it suitable for single-GPU systems. Although it does feature a second PCI-Express 3.0 slot, this one is limited to x4. It also comes with two PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots, single mPCIe 3.0 x1 slot and a single PCI slot.

The rest of the features include one SATA Express 16Gbps port, eight SATA 6Gbps ports and one M.2 32Gbps port. It has a Intel Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel integrated Realtek ALC1150 audio with upgradable OP-AMP, high-end audio capacitors, as well as bunch of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports.

Gigabyte is sticking to a green on black color scheme which does look unique in the sea of red on black motherboards and it even decided to implement a green LED strip, which should make it look even more cool.

Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any details regarding availability date or the price but you can expect it on retail shelves soon with a price of somewhere around €100/$120.
