G.Skill's Ripjaws 4 DDR4 memory has just hit yet another record as Lam managed to push it to rather incredible 2450.8MHz.
Overclocked on ASRock's Z170 OC Formula LGA1151 motherboard, a single-channel 4GB memory module was pushed to 2450.8MHz with 21-31-31-63 latency. Earlier record was also held by Lam on the same platform and was set at 2397.7MHz (4795.8MHz effective) and the new record is over 50MHz higher, for effective frequency of 4901.6MHz.
The rest of the platform includes an overclocked Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake CPU and the entire platform, including the memory, was cooled with LN2.
Lam must have some rather impressive modules on its hands and we can't seem to wonder how far will he be able to push it as 4901.6MHz already sounds incredible.
