Intel Skylake launch breaks plenty of OC records

Seven world records and 17 global first places

With the official launch of Intel's 6th generation Core Skylake CPUs and Intel Z170 Express chipset motherboards it does not come as a surprise to see plenty of overclocking records, including 7 world records and 17 global first places, according to HWBOT.org.

On a list published by HWBOT.org, there are plenty of new world records which include 7 world records and 17 global first places. It appears that Skylake platform is good to overclockers and it is rather interesting that it is mostly done on ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme motherboard with G.Skill Ripjaws 4 DDR4 memory.

HWBOT.org also noted that the list does not include some records and overclocking results, those that do no have Global Points enabled. With this in mind, the list does not include incredible DDR4-4795 memory validation by Chi-Kui Lam, Toppc's 6801GHz Core i7-6700K CPU frequency validation, Smoke's 6808GHz Core i5-6600K CPU frequency validation or dRweEz's 552MHz reference clock result.

You can check out the list in the picture below and find more details via link below.
