ASRock shows Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard

Ahead of the official launch

ASRock has posted a quick teaser of its smallest socket LGA1151 motherboard based on Intel's Z170 Express chipset, the ASRock Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac.

Based on the mini-ITX form-factor, the the ASRock Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac packs quite a few features for its size. The 8-phase CPU VRM draws power from a 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors and the motherboard comes with two standard DDR4 DIMM slots, which means it supports up to 32GB of DDR4 memory in dual-channel configuration.

The rest of the specifications and features, as far as we can see from the picture posted on ASRock's Facebook site, include single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, six SATA 6Gbps ports, single SATA Express 16Gbps port, two HDMI and one DisplayPort outputs, Intel Gigabit Ethernet and integrated 802.11ac with BT 4.0, bunch of SUB 3.0 ports and integrated 5.1-channel audio.

All Intel Z170 Express chipset based motherboards will launch today and we are quite sure that ASRock's Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac will be quite popular with those looking to make a powerful SFF gaming PC.

There will be plenty of reviews as soon as Intel lifts the NDA and hopefully we will find a review or two of the ASRock Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac as well, so stay tuned for more details.
