ASRock unveils the new Gaming G10 router

Router and Internet of Things device

ASrock has decided to announce its new G10 gaming router that is a combination of a router and Internet of Things (IoT) device which packs quite a few unique feature and can turn your smartphone into a universal remote controller.

The ASRock G10 gaming router is a 802.11ac router that packs no less than eight antennas, Beamforming, Multi-User MIMO and more as well as provide wireless performance of up to 1733Mbps on 5GHz and up to 800Mbps on 2.4GHz.

While it is definitely an impressive router, ASRock's G10 gaming router also has a few other tricks up its sleeve, including two USB 3.0 ports and detachable 2-in-1 dongle that can serve up as a travel access point (AP) or an HDMI dongle with 2T2R 11n WiFi.

Probably the most impressive feature includes infrared transmitters and receivers hidden inside the router that allows it to learn the infrared codes of other devices such as TVs, air conditioners or any other infrared operated device and turn your smartphone into a universal remote controller for those devices via ASRock Router APP.

Unfortunately, ASRock did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date of the new G10 gaming router but did publish a video showing the infrared learning feature which you can check out below.
